Glenorchy Primary School has 26 teaching staff and caters for 327 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school's address is Kensington Street GLENORCHY 7010. Phone (03) 6272 7574.

Schools receive an annual resource package for the purpose of providing educational programs for students throughout that year. Schools may also receive other funding from the Department as well as receiving income from other sources. Generally, like the resource package, these funds should be used in the year that they are received. However, in some circumstances, schools may need to carry funds over from one year to the next. A reasonable carry over is 25% of a school's annual resourcing package. As at January 31 2009, Glenorchy Primary School has carried over the equivalent of 52% of its annual resourcing package. Schools also receive additional funding to help reduce early years class sizes. The average class size at Glenorchy Primary School for groups containing Prep and Year 1 students is 22.
