Glenora District High School has 17 teaching staff and caters for 208 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The school's address is 620 Main Road BUSHY PARK 7140. Phone (03) 6286 1301.

Schools receive an annual resource package for the purpose of providing educational programs for students throughout that year. Schools may also receive other funding from the Department as well as receiving income from other sources. Generally, like the resource package, these funds should be used in the year that they are received. However, in some circumstances, schools may need to carry funds over from one year to the next. A reasonable carry over is 25% of a school's annual resourcing package. As at January 31 2009, Glenora District High School has carried over the equivalent of 99% of its annual resourcing package. Schools also receive additional funding to help reduce early years class sizes. The average class size at Glenora District High School for groups containing Prep and Year 1 students is 25.

Information about Glenora District High School (provided by the school)
Glenora District High School is a Kinder to Grade 12 school in a rural setting in the Upper Derwent Valley. Enrolment at Glenora is an approximately even split between primary and secondary students. Primary students attend in composite classes while senior students are grouped in single grade classes. Our school aims to provide engaging and authentic opportunities for learning, providing rigour in study and 'hands on' tasks making the most of our setting (e.g. school farm/garden). As there are few services provided for families in this end of the Derwent Valley, our school provides liaison and linkage with agencies and community supports to promote learning and wellbeing. The school also links with neighbouring schools and Tasman DHS to provide cultural and sporting opportunities to extend our students. Most staff members teach across several learning areas and across school groups. There is an emphasis on professional learning and on developing staff, many of whom are in their initial years of appointment.
