Claremont High School has 25 teaching staff and caters for 299 students from Year 7 to Year 10. The school's address is 2 Cadbury Road CLAREMONT 7011. Phone (03) 6249 1055.

Schools receive an annual resource package for the purpose of providing educational programs for students throughout that year. Schools may also receive other funding from the Department as well as receiving income from other sources. Generally, like the resource package, these funds should be used in the year that they are received. However, in some circumstances, schools may need to carry funds over from one year to the next. A reasonable carry over is 25% of a school's annual resourcing package. As at January 31 2009, Claremont High School has carried over the equivalent of 7% of its annual resourcing package.

Information about Claremont High School (provided by the school)
Claremont High School is an integral part of the community of Claremont. There are four neighbouring feeder primary schools. It was established in 1961 and has a long and proud tradition. Recent redevelopments have reduced the building size and has seen a more modern facility emerge. The student numbers are stable at around 300. Claremont High is guided by one clear principle: building positive relationships. Positive relationships are the basis for students achieving their personal best both socially and academically. Enabling each student to achieve the highest possible standard of literacy and numeracy is at the core of the curriculum. There is commitment to students becoming creative, inquiring and reflective thinkers, problem solvers and competent users of ICTs. The goal is for students to be active, healthy and responsible global citizens. There are high academic expectations for all students which value and foster their interests, passions and talents and prepare them for their futures. Many students leave Claremont High and go directly into apprenticeships or traineeships or employment. Students at Claremont High work with one key teacher who knows them well. The senior school has revamped its curriculum over the past two years to built strong connections to the community with all students taking part in internships. The middle school has strong links with the primary schools and provides a positive transition to high school within a caring learning environment. There is an emphasis on using data to address learning outcomes with learning being constantly monitored. The statewide and national testing data is one set of information that is used to inform teaching and learning.
