Bridgewater High School has 28 teaching staff and caters for 284 students from Year 7 to Year 10. The school's address is 55 Eddington Street, BRIDGEWATER 7030. Phone (03) 6262 5500.

Schools receive an annual resource package for the purpose of providing educational programs for students throughout that year. Schools may also receive other funding from the Department as well as receiving income from other sources. Generally, like the resource package, these funds should be used in the year that they are received. However, in some circumstances, schools may need to carry funds over from one year to the next. A reasonable carry over is 25% of a school's annual resourcing package. As at January 31 2009, Bridgewater High School has carried over the equivalent of 25% of its annual resourcing package.

Information about Bridgewater High School (provided by the school)
Bridgewater High School has just commenced its second year in its temporary location. There have been some additions to the school in the past year; the most significant addition is the new MDT centre. We are still working towards building a gymnasium and upgrading some of the facilities at the site. We are continuing with the ‘Middle School’ structure for our Grades 7 & 8 as this has proven to be very successful. This year we introduced the explicit literacy and numeracy times period 1 and 2 four mornings per week for all grades. In this time Grades 8 and 10 will be embarking upon the Carol Christensen literacy program. We have also changed the way our options are offered in the senior grades (9 and 10). We are working towards more personalised learning and making our options more flexible and variable. We are now working with the rest of the education community in our area to focus on the changes that will evolve as we transition to the Learning Federation and the implementation of the recommendations of BASMERT as a consequence of the 2007 fire. There are now many exciting opportunities for educational and other provisions in the area.
