Lindisfarne North Primary School has 23 teaching staff and caters for 321 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school's address is 30 Raminea Road LINDISFARNE 7015. Phone (03) 6243 0101.

Schools receive an annual resource package for the purpose of providing educational programs for students throughout that year. Schools may also receive other funding from the Department as well as receiving income from other sources. Generally, like the resource package, these funds should be used in the year that they are received. However, in some circumstances, schools may need to carry funds over from one year to the next. A reasonable carry over is 25% of a school's annual resourcing package. As at January 31 2009, Lindisfarne North Primary School has carried over the equivalent of 66% of its annual resourcing package. Schools also receive additional funding to help reduce early years class sizes. The average class size at Lindisfarne North Primary School for groups containing Prep and Year 1 students is 25.

Information about Lindisfarne North Primary School (provided by the school)
Established in 1895, Lindisfarne North is a small, urban primary school on Hobart’s Eastern shore overlooking the Derwent River. Facilities include a spacious, well resourced library, specialist art and music rooms and general purpose hall. The school believes all children need firm foundations in Literacy and Numeracy, a sense of connectedness to their local community, the resilience to embrace change and the values to act ethically and with integrity. These beliefs are reflected in our high expectations for students, our caring environment and strong parental engagement in the school program. We embrace global citizenship with a focus on Asian studies, including a Japanese language program, environmental sustainability and health and well being. Leadership opportunities for students are provided through the Student Council, Buddy classes, Daily PE program, Eco-Geckos and Junior Red Cross. Students are involved in a range of enrichment programs including woodwind band, choir, recorder, on-line learning, art, drama, annual competitions and a variety of sporting activities. The school is family friendly, providing full day care for young children and after school care on site.
